Photo of Man Holding Baby for a Stranger While She Does Paperwork is Melting Hearts Across the Internet
By McKinley Corbley-Nov 5, 2018

*** begin quote ***

This older man is being praised across the internet for his heartwarming display of kindness towards a mother who had her hands full last week.

Natasha Crittenden Wilson snapped a photo of the senior adoringly cradling a sleeping boy while his mother filled out paperwork in the waiting room of a doctor’s office in Florence, Alabama.

*** end quote ***

This is an example of the everyday kindness that we can share with our fellow humans everyday.

PRAYERSREQUESTED: Colon, Philip J. (MC1962) prays for Stephen

2018-Nov-12

Good Evening All,

Mike McEneney asks for our prayers for the repose of the soul of Stephen Burke, a very close friend, since Elementary school, of Mike's Grandson, Fellow Jasper, John Michael Chan '14. We pray for young Stephen who died of a drug overdose this past Friday. Please pray for Stephen's Parents and Family as they suffer the pain of loss of their child. It is a pain that few, if any of us, can know the depth and relentlessnes of their loss. We pray that God grant Stephen's Family the strength to deal with this senseless loss and the knowing that Stephen is at rest and peace in God's Eternal Embrace. Thank you. God Bless.

PRAYERSREQUESTED: Colon, Philip J. (MC1962) prays for little Luke

2018-Nov-12

RE: Our Littlest Jasper - A Happy Birthday

Good Evening All,

Tomorrow, our littlest Jasper, Luke, will be celebrating, unless I have lost count, his eleventh Birthday, November 12, 2018. I know that he will have on his very special and room brightening smile. It is usually accompanied by his " Shades " but that depends on whether he feeels like wearing them or not. Either way his smile will tell you what is in his heart. He will be surrounded by his Loving Parents, his loving Grandparents and in our hearts he will be surrounded by those of us who have known him, our littlest Jasper, who packs a don't give up spirit to make a United States Marine Corps Drill Instructor proud. Please keep Luke in your prayers as we wish Luke the best of Birthdays filled with love and laughter. Thank you. God Bless.

OBITUARY
John Patrick O'Keefe
OCTOBER 22, 1926 – NOVEMBER 12, 2018

John Patrick O’Keefe, “Jack”, age 92, of Chattanooga passed peacefully in his home on November 12, 2018.

John was born in New York City on October 22, 1926, to Patrick O’Keefe of County Mayo and Sally Craven of County Galway, Ireland. Coming of age during the Great Depression as the son of immigrant parents, he began working after school delivering groceries at age 8. In his teens, he worked as an usher at the Metropolitan Opera. He entered the Navy V-5 pilot training program in 1944, and was in V-12 training at Dartmouth College when the war ended. He used his military victory bonus points to buy a television for his parents, and eventually helped them buy their first house.

He graduated from Manhattan College and later moved to Chattanooga in 1967. He spent his professional life working as a Human Resources Director for GAF, Polysar, and BASF.

He retired in 1993, and turned his energy to a life-long passion for wildlife by volunteering for many happy years at the Tennessee Aquarium. Gentle and kind, he loved reading, ice cream, nature, animals, Braves baseball, Rangers hockey, and Notre Dame football. He was a member of St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, as well as being a proud Irishman, loving father, brother, and grandfather. Most importantly, he was a devoted husband who spent 62 years married to the love of his life, his dear Patsy Devine O’Keefe. He often noted that the happiest moment of his life was when she accepted his marriage proposal.

He is predeceased by his brother, Gene. He is survived by his wife, Patricia, and their six children: sons Kevin and Brian (Carla) and daughters, Mary Ellen (Michael) Cahill, Dolores, Jackie (Luke) Powers, and Sheila (Richard) Lloyd. John is also survived by eight grandchildren: Patrick, Bridget, and Maura O’Keefe; Devin and Erin O’Keefe; Kathleen Cahill; Phoebe and John Powers. He is also survived by his sister, Kathleen (Tom) Ryan.

A Funeral Mass will be held in the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church on Saturday November 17, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. with Father Mike Nolan officiating. The family will receive friends at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home on Friday evening from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. He will be laid to rest in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Tennessee Aquarium. Arrangements are under the care of Chattanooga Funeral Home Crematory and Florist East Chapel, 404 South Moore Rd. East Ridge, TN 37412. Please share your thoughts and memories at www.ChattanoogaEastChapel.com

CELEBRATING 300 YEARS OF THE LASALLIAN MISSION.

The Manhattan College community dedicates a community artwork to commemorate the life and legacy of St. John Baptist de La Salle for the Tercentenary.

The Vatican declared 2019 as a Jubilee Year (Nov 17, 2018 - December 31, 2019) to recognize the 300th anniversary of the death of Saint John Baptist De La Salle (April 30, 1719).

“A Jubilee Year offers the opportunity to express our faith through concrete actions in favor of those most in need. I invite all of you to celebrate the jubilee through practical acts of kindness and service to young people yearning for mercy and compassion,” says Brother Robert Schieler, FSC, Superior General of the Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools (De La Salle Christian Brothers).

St. John Baptist de La Salle is the founder of the Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools, and Patron of Christian Teachers. Manhattan College, as the first Lasallian institute of higher education in the world, created a community artwork collage of our Lasallian experiences. Students, faculty and staff contributed to this truly special work of art, and discussed the importance of living the Lasallian mission united with one heart, one commitment, one life.

Learn about the history of St. John Baptist de La Salle and our commitment to his legacy in this video. Find out more about the first Lasallian institute of higher education in the world and our mission at www.Manhattan.edu

ENDNOTE: “We, The Sheeple” keep electing either side of the same coin

The Election Results Are In: As Always, You Lost!
November 8, 2018 by Jeff Berwick

*** begin quote ***

In the USSA this week, statist slaves rushed to closets in public school gymnasiums to participate in the mass cult ritual of voting.

They called it “the most important election of our lifetime,” which is the same thing they said last time and many times before that, but has anything really changed?

State-sponsored propaganda outlets who call themselves “news organizations” are making a huge deal about the fact that one group of politicians "took the house" and another group "took the Senate," as if this has any bearing on the issues that actually matter.

The politicians who are fighting over power at the polls are all proponents of empire, and they will do nothing but continue the policies that have made the United States a third world country.

The Federal Reserve’s monopolization of the monetary system, which is used to defraud and impoverish millions is not on the table for discussion by any political candidates. Neither is the issue of plant prohibition, which is directly related to the country’s massive rape camp (prison) population, gang violence, and unprecedented opiate crisis.

*** end quote ***

Sigh!

In the Pepuls Republik of Nu Jerzee, the sheeple returned an indicted but not convicted D who was accused of having sex with young girls in the Dominican Republic.  In the Pepuls Republik of Nu Jerk, an avowed communist was elected to the House and then griped about having to find an apartment in the “District of Corruption”. Of course, as in most cases, the incumbents returned to “business as usual”!

Anyone see ANY light at the end of the tunnel?

Argh!
