The expression is not the way you are taking it. It’s about not making the same mistake twice.
We can quibble about WWJD and “health", "health care", "health care insurance", or something else.
Also, I object to “want a decent health care system”! Every one wants that; no defines it.
I think the idea that “guaranteed health care as a human right” is a very bad concept.
I am not saying that I don’t want sick people to be taken care of.
You have to understand that when you create a POSITIVE right, you also create an affirmative BURDEN on someone. Guarantee a visit to a doctor and you obligate some doctor to provide that service. You’ve made that doctor a SLAVE.
There is no such thing as a “society”, there are only individuals.
I would prefer to the Parable of the Good Samaritan. He took the victim to the inn, guaranteed payment, and didn’t ask the government to reimburse him.
So too, we, as individuals, should be so charitable. If the Gooferment did NOT steal so much of our personal wealth and waste it, then we could be even more charitable. Not to subsidize bad behavior, but to succor the truly needy. Gooferment welfare creates a permanent welfare dependent class with no hope and humanity has lost whatever they could have produced.
“Universal health care” is an oxymoron.
The Gooferment is immoral, ineffective, and inefficient. The estimates of fraud, waste, and administrative overhead are staggering.
Thinking that one size can fit all takes a very unique personal human condition is a bad paradigm and / or meme.

WEXLER, John Michael, 74, passed away suddenly Thursday, November 7, 2013 at his home in Richmond, Va. Mr. Wexler was born and raised in the Bronx, and was a lifetime New Yorker. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Raymond and Gerald Wexler. James T. was 82 when he passed away Thursday, November 7th.
Born in the Inwood section of New York, James lived most of his life in New Milford where he and his late wife Nora raised their seven children. After serving his country in the US Army, James went on to graduate Manhattan College. After college he worked for New York Telephone as a Manager for over 30 years before retiring.
James was the loving father of James T. Hines Jr., Kevin Hines, the late Matthew Hines, Thomas Hines, John Hines, Peggy Cahill, and Patrick Hines. Devoted brother of Dorothy Dedon and the cherished grandfather of Catie Hines, Kevin Hines Jr., Erin Hines, Megan Hines, Nora Hines, Patrick Cahill, Maggie Hines, and Dillon Cahill.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Boulevard Funeral Home 1151 River Road, New Milford, Tuesday 8:30 AM. This is the strangest P.R. campaign yet against the Affordable Care Act. Generation Opportunity, the Koch-funded group behind the Creepy Uncle Sam ads, is throwing tailgate parties to “educate” undergraduates about the exchanges. Read: To convince young people to forgo health insurance.
The group’s communication director, David Pasch, wrote an email to The Tampa Bay Times describing a drunken event at Saturday’s University of Miami-Virginia Tech football game:
“We rolled in with a fleet of Hummers, F-150’s and Suburbans, each vehicle equipped with an 8’ high balloon bouquet floating overhead. We hired a popular student DJ from UMiami (DJ Joey), set up OptOut cornhole sets, beer pong tables, bought 75 pizzas, and hired 8 ‘brand ambassadors’ aka models with bullhorns to help out.”
Mr. Pasch specified that “student activists,” rather than anyone employed directly by Generation Opportunity, “brought (lots of) beer and liquor for consumption by those 21 and over.”
As a sort of afterthought, he added, “Oh yeah, and we educated students about their healthcare options outside the expensive and creepy Obamacare exchanges.”
According to Think Progress, this isn’t a one-time thing: “The group is touring 20 different campuses this fall in a $750,000 effort to convince college students that they’re better off being uninsured than getting health coverage through Obamacare.”
That’s a lot of money for a campaign that’s not only insanely irresponsible, but also insanely dumb. Generation Opportunity is the old guy at a house party, convinced he can win the cool kids’ respect with booze.

JR: Well, it’s not how I’d spend 750K$. And, I doubt that it really changed any minds. Twenty campuses! Not exactly a “nation-wide” effort. Everyone was free to do what they pleased. I really from my little L libertarian pov have no problem with it. As long as no one was hurt or defrauded. Everyone is free to do what they choose.
I will turn this slightly around in that the Gooferment is spending money, stolen from the taxpayers, to influence them that Obamacare is good. And KS strong arming insurance companies to pay to publicize it and, when things are going badly, to rep their mouths shut is also using force. I don’t see you posting any links condemning that behavior.
I must compliment you on the quotes around capitalist. I have a real problem with “crony capitalism” that partners with the Gooferment to extract wealth by force or fraud. It’s not capitalism where the person risks their own money in hopes of receiving “certificates of appreciation” (What you’d call money) from their Customers for goods and services rendered. What we have today is more akin to fascism than a free market.

Obituary
After a hard-fought battle with a rare blood disease called Myelofibrosis and tremendous care from the doctors and staff of City of Hope National Medical Center, John V. Fenton passed away in the early morning hours of September 24th, surrounded by his family.
He dedicated his life to improving healthcare standards and practices, particularly for those in need. He was greatly respected in his field, and his compassionate nature earned him many friends and allies throughout his career.
He is survived by his wife Stella, his children John Joe, Jennifer and Kim, grandchildren Camryn, Kendall, Eliza and Jack, brothers Dennis and Bob, sister Pat and an enormous loving group of cousins, nieces, nephews, sons-in-laws, a daughter in-law and a very best friend. He was a loving man not only to his family, but many other individuals who considered him part of their own family.
He was beloved by all who knew him.

Michael Francis McNamara of Matawan, New Jersey passed away on Friday November 1, 2013 at Madison Center Nursing Home in Old Bridge, New Jersey. Born on January 25, 1929 in Brooklyn New York he graduated from Manhattan College and served in the United States Army from 1951-1953. He moved to Matawan in 1973. He was a communicant of St Clements Church in Matawan, New Jersey. He was pre-deceased by his parents Michael and Florence McNamara, his brothers James and John McNamara, his wife Clare McNamara and his stepson Joseph Hynes. He leaves behind a stepson Brian Hynes of Delran, Florida, two Nieces Jane McNamara -DiPreta and Kim McNamara-Carmody .Five Nephews James, Michael, Kevin, Sean and Robert McNamara as well as several great nieces and nephews.
Cremation and interment was private. A Memorial Mass will take place at 11:00 AM at St. Clement Church, Matawan on Saturday November 16, 2013. Waitt Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Morganville is in charge of the arrangements.

Obituary
John Peter Andryuk passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at Hartford Hospital.
He was born on June 25, 1946 in Brooklyn, New York to Nicholas and Frances (Swiderski) Andryuk. He was the loving husband of Maureen (McCarthy) Andryuk. He was the proud father of Marc and his fiancée Brittney Belz, Jason and his wife Jennifer and Michael. He is also survived by his brothers and sister, Thomas of Naperville, IL, Christopher of Newberg, OR and Paula of East Brunswick. NJ. He received his BSEE from Manhattan College and his MBA from Pace University.
John was a Brother with the Salesians of Don Bosco and taught at Salesian high schools in Boston, MA and West Patterson, New Jersey. After leaving religious life, he began his career as an electrical engineer working at ITT World Comm in New York City, Air Express International in Darien, The Travelers in Hartford and Computer Sciences Corporation in East Hartford. John continued his work in the Don Bosco tradition by becoming involved with Boy Scout Troop 156 in S. Glastonbury. He also had been a member of the Gillmen's Club and a volunteer at the Hole in the Wall Camp.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, Nov. 16th at 11 a.m. in Saint Paul Church, 2577 Main St., Glastonbury. Friends may call Friday, Nov. 15 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in John's memory to the Salesians of Don Bosco, Province of St. Philip the Apostle P.O. The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) announced that Mike Rufino will become Head of Member Regulation – Sales Practice, and Bill Wollman will become Head of Member Regulation – Risk Oversight and Operational Regulation (ROOR).
Rufino and Wollman will report to Susan Axelrod, FINRA's Executive Vice President of Regulatory Operations.
"Mike and Bill are experts in their regulatory fields, and their consistent good judgment and strong leadership will enhance FINRA's ability to protect investors and ensure market integrity. Their vast regulatory experience and leadership in the evolution of our exam programs over the years will allow them to guide the sales practice and financial operational programs as they continue to evolve into more risk-focused, effective and efficient programs," said Susan Axelrod.
Rufino began his career with the NYSE in 1988 and led the Sales Practice Regulatory Unit prior to the NYSE's merger with FINRA in 2007. FINRA's Sales Practice program encompasses FINRA's 15 district offices and is responsible for ongoing surveillance and examinations, both routine and investigative, of FINRA-regulated securities firms across the country. Mr. Rufino graduated magna cum laude from Iona College with a degree in finance. In addition, he received his M.B.A. with honors in management information systems from Iona.
Wollman joined the NYSE in 1989, and in 2001 was appointed to lead one of the financial oversight departments that examined NYSE members for compliance with financial and operational rules. Earlier this year, he was appointed as the Deputy in Member Regulation – ROOR. ROOR is responsible for the ongoing surveillance and annual examinations of firms for financial and operational compliance. Wollman earned his bachelor's degree from Manhattan College with a degree in finance.

At ICC Lowe, Mr. Galella is responsible for financial oversight, profit and loss management, reporting, compliance, and providing management with information for strategic planning, among other functions.
Part of the Interpublic group of companies, ICC Lowe specializes in marketing pharmaceutical-industry products to health care practitioners. Mr. Galella is presently involved with helping it to transition from a print to a digital platform and to expand its global footprint through acquisition, affiliate arrangements or startups throughout Europe, Asia and South America.
Mr. Galella has been the agency’s CFO for 15 years. His financial-management career spans 27 years in total. He earned an MBA with a concentration in accounting and finance from Fordham’s Graduate School of Business Administration; his bachelor’s degree is from the Manhattan College School of Business, where he studies economics and finance. [JR: My usual nag inserted here. May I suggest that you have your own domain? The common wisdom, or is that common whizdumb, is to own your own name as a domain name. I own "reinke.cc". (I like saying "sea sea me at reinke.cc"! me@reinke.cc will actually work!) I gives one quite a bit of control. And, it's very cheap. I know three solutions at 25$/year using wordpressdotcom with gmail, 30$/year email only with 1and1, and 90$/year for domain+email+webspace also at 1and1. My point is not that you should use 1and1. http://www.1and1.com/?k_id=9113251 I could care less which one you use. It's that getting on to your own domain with email is cheap and easy.
