Just for the record, and to give you all a peek behind the “curtain”. I assembled, edited, and pushed this week’s edition in just over ONE HOUR!
Why should you care? It allows me to include in the weekly push items that were found yesterday. Under the old meme, I had to cut off on Wednesday, do hours of prep work, to push on Saturday. I pushed on Saturday in case the Inet pushed back (i.e., the many moving parts stopped moving) and I could recover. While my process still has a lot of rough edges, it seems to be working from this side of the glass.
Hopefully it’s working on your side as well.

Electric Industry Veteran to Lead PPL Nuclear Development Effort
DATELINE:
ALLENTOWN, Pa., Feb. 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — PPL Corporation(NYSE:PPL)announced Wednesday (2/27) that Victor N. Lopiano, an electric industry veteran with an extensive background in large construction projects and nuclear technology, will become president of its nuclear development company.
“A key element in PPL’s strategy to grow its generating portfolio is our initiative to develop options for the expansion of our nuclear operations. We are very fortunate to have someone of Vic’s experience join our nuclear development effort at this very important time,” said James H. Lopiano will become president of

PPL announced in December that PPL Nuclear Development plans to ask the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission to approve a combined license to construct and operate a new generating unit near the Susquehanna plant.
While PPL has not yet decided to move forward with construction, it plans to file a license application by the end of 2008. This time frame will help preserve the potential for federal production tax credits and federal loan guarantees.
Miller said a decision on whether to proceed with construction of a new nuclear unit will depend on a number of factors, including nuclear loan guarantees and a joint venture arrangement.

Would love to hear back from you to share
stories with Kevin’s 86 yr old mother and Kevin’s employer & dear friend,

Invite sent. To prevent spam, Yahoo only allows me to
“invite”. Your invite sent.
For others interested, there’s a self-serve mechanism.
Will give you the subscribe email address. (Sorry but
spammers are “listening”.) Include your name and class year in the message and
it’s as good as done.
