Neither title nor author meant anything to me. But a memoir of the French Resistance published so soon after the war and - most intriguingly - written by a woman, might be worth a couple of euros.
When it arrived, Notre Guerre - its evocative cream-coloured cover darkened with age, its blotting-paper pages
roughly cut - exhaled the atmosphere of wartime

When we are presented with evil, either personally or by our government, do we, as Jaspers, have huevos to stand up and “just say no”? It so much easier to “just go along to get along”. RE: Friend Request
Dear Fellow Jasper Alumni,
I am reaching out to you to add you to my collection of Jaspers on Facebook. Recently, a fellow Classmate of your year, Jack Cahill, joined at my urging. And, he was the first in your Class Year of 1964 that I had. I couldn’t suggest any peers to him.
Chagrined, I have set out to remedy that.
By way of explanation, I’m just a harmless old alum that runs an alumni ezine — a weekly email about Jasper findings — http://www.jasperjottings.com — It is a imho interesting weekly summary of alumni and (to a lesser extent) student news.
I do Jasper Jottings to connect Jaspers globally. I’ve been trying to drag the “real” MC Alumni organization into this decade. Any Jasper Jottings exists, it’s free, and is an excellent source to identify and connect with specific alumni. For example, I have about 1500 Jaspers reading it every week.
This is just my attempt to “help” you and Jack connect. :-) You might not even know you needed help. :-) It, Jasper Jottings, might help you possibly identify other alumni that you might want to connect with.
Jasper-ing-ly yours,
Now I have to adjust my tin foil hat, and go “help” others,

Subject: new Obama shirt
To one and all: The Presidential election is almost upon us, and it’s not too late to stock up on Obama or McCain shirts from the Jerry Breen boutique - that is, my online store at cafepress.com . Check out all of the colorful designs at http://www.cafepress.com/newbreen . Here’s my latest design - “Obama Rocks!” I was looking at the Obama campaign logo one day when I noticed that the flag stripes coming out of the blue “O” almost looked like a tongue coming out of a mouth - which reminded me of a popular logo for a certain “World’s Greatest Rock’n'Roll Band”. I think you’ll agree that nothing says “Obama Rocks!” better than this graphic. Of course, you can also check it out on my website at www.newbreen.com or www.jerrybreen.com , as usual. I’ll have more news in a week or two. Thanks, Jerry Breen

He is disgusted that the banking industry has left the public to bail them out, he said. “The banks had one long, huge party, they got drunk, and we all have to clean it up,” Abel said.
“I feel very sorry for the retirees with fixed incomes,” he added. “They didn’t do anything wrong and now they are bearing the brunt from the party.”

In the business world, protecting one’s brand is essential

(We no longer deserve to call ourselves “The United States of America” any more. Since the “direct election of senators”, the States have been nothing more than extensions of the Federal Government. Sort of like a patient infected with a second form of cancer. Lysander Spooner was right about the Constitution with it’s “right to life”. And, while we are at it, let’s put the plastic bag of the Statue of Liberty or at least build a mile high fence around it. We should be embarrassed by it’s presence. A reminder of what a once great nation we were. I am ashamed of how far we have fallen from the Dead Old White Guy’s ideals.)
Respectfully submitted for your consideration, and action.
