CLARIFICATION FROM ERIN

From: erin mcgrath (1992)
To: reinkefj

Subject: Re: I want to clarify something.

Re: LMM '92

I'm sorry if I caused any confusion about the Lisa Muccilo project taking longer to complete. The decision to redo the locker rooms wasn't finalized until recently, therefore it is too close to the beginning of basketball season to start construction. I am truly grateful to the Athletic Department for allowing us to honor of our friend and I'm excited that construction will begin after the current basketball seasons. I just wanted to get the word out to our generous donors that we've reached our goal, came up with a wonderful alternative memorial, and to expect some news of its completion in the coming new year. Sorry again for not being more clear. Thanks for your time and God bless. ]

I know I'm going on with this, but I don't want any bad blood between my friend's department and those in development. I appreciate your "medium" allowing me to get the word out. Thanks again. and take care.

Have a great day.

:-) Erin

[JR:  Since this is a request to clarify, I want to place it where it would get an appropriate viewing. Being some what familiar with the events that have taken place. This is important for Jasper McGrath’s continued success in getting things done at the College. Hence the headline -- Editor’s prerogative! ]

[JR: This is part of the ongoing saga. I have seen it with different alums and “received” it several times myself. That’s why I wanted to give her email special attention. I don’t understand the continued need for alumni to tiptoe around various elements of the staff side of Manhattan College.  I’m not trying to be nasty or critical of individual people; it’s the culture. — The “development” group treats the alumni as an important cash cow. This even though the Federal Government has taken over from Alumni and Student as the most important funding source. Only Hillsdale College rejects the government totally. But we’re cash cows nevertheless. — The alumni organization is only slowly discarding their 1950’s approach to alumni. I push at every chance for them to take over Jottings, do the new that things that the technology permits, and also do some of the innovative “old” things that Ivys do.  I’d change the entire mental model of the “business”. The whole College appears to place a high value on “college-iality” except “college-iality” as it applies to the alumni. I wish I could do a research project on the business model in use at the College. In my business career and personal relations, I have had to change my mental model many times. Some times under duress; other times it was I when recognized that “the times they are a changing”. The College’s seems to have never evolved.    From my POV. I’m not into “college-iality”. I’m into a vision of  an “alma mater model” that has as common goal of success for everyone in the family as they each see it. And that’s my personal rant.]

I am serving as a volunteer photo-journalist onboard the Mercy Ship Anastasis in West Africa. Mercy Ships is the world's largest non-governmental organization of hospital ships, the Anastasis currently the largest operating in the fleet. Since 1978, the organization follows the 2000 year model of Jesus, & brings hope and healing to Africa's poor. The blind see through cataract and other eye operations. The lame walk through orthopedic operations. The mute speak through cleft lip and palate operations. The disfigured are given their dignity back through advanced, life-changing maxillofacial operations. The Anastasis also engages in AIDS education, community development projects, water sanitation and well building, dental & maternity health clinics.... Like the rest of the 350 plus crewmembers on board, to defray costs, I pay crew fees to serve. If you are interested in supporting me or donating to Mercy Ships directly please contact me at scott AT onamercyship.com. There are a so many ways to get involved, sponsoring surgeries, fresh water wells, transportation, prosthetics wheelchairs, etc. Adopt-a-Patient, etc.

=== <end quote> ===

You don’t need Halloween to be frightened by some pretty graphic images. Here’s some real scary stuff. The movies show us the “beautiful people”. Here are some that you’d never see in a Hollywood movie or on a TV show.

But, if you look past the horror, I don’t think you can not be impressed by the work being done on the mercy ships.

I am moved. And, I am letting the moths out of the old checkbook for some exercise and sending these folks a modest contribution. I am impressed.

These surgeons, and all the people that support them, and the people they work on are truly the “beautiful people”.

I hope we all can be a little like them. Heck, I hope I could be a little like them.

Reflect well on our alma mater, this week, every week, in any and every way possible, large or small. God bless.

American Legion to honor Mark Caruselle

Wednesday, November 09, 2005

Mark Caruselle, a guiding force behind the American Legion on Staten Island for many years, and an organizer of the United Staten Island Veterans' Organization, will be honored by the American Legion of Richmond County at a testimonial dinner on Sunday at 3 p.m. in the Crystal Room, South Beach.

The tribute is being arranged by a committee of past county commanders: Larry Hartnett, Bill Blaine, Jerry Neuberger, Victor Prevosti, Joe Chociemski, Larry Lee and Ferdinand Salvatore.

Born Mercurio Caruselle of Italian immigrant parents in Tompkinsville, "Caruselle did more or less what most of us did," said Larry Hartnett of Tottenville, a member of the committee of veterans and friends, "serve our country, use the GI Bill, raise a family."

"What separates Mark is what he did after his discharge," Hartnett said. "He became 'Mr. American Legion.'"

Caruselle was called to active duty while attending Manhattan College in 1943 and completed training as an aerial photographer in the Air Force Technical School. Sent to Okinawa, Japan, his unit took photos of the areas of Hiroshima and Nagasaki 24 hours after the A-bomb struck. Then they photographed the Japanese surrender on Yokohama.

Discharged in 1945, he returned to earn a master of business administration degree and founded his own accountancy practice in 1953, which he conducted in New Dorp for 52 years.

An Arrochar resident, Caruselle has three children, three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. His wife, the former Ann DePilla, died in 1992.

The dinner is $55 and includes four courses, music for dancing, and an open bar. For more information, phone Larry Lee of Grasmere, a member of the committee, at (718) 351-1039. Julia Martin

Barksdale alumni reach new Air Force heights
November 7, 2005
By John Andrew Prime

Following a path trod by many officers who have served or commanded at Barksdale Air Force Base, two men who once were leaders in units at the Bossier Parish base have been tapped for leadership positions in the national defense structure.

This summer, former 458th Operations Group commander Arthur Lichte, now a lieutenant general, became assistant vice chief of staff at Air Force headquarters in Washington, D.C.

And James "Jim" Hawkins, who as a colonel led the 2nd Operations Group at Barksdale and was key in early exchange visits involving U.S. and former Soviet bloc bombers, has been chosen to head the 18th Air Force, headquartered at Scott Air Force Base, Ill.

Lichte, who was a colonel at Barksdale, commanded the 458th Operations Group from April 1992 to July 1993. Prior to that, he served at Barksdale as assistant deputy commander for operations for the 2nd Bomb Wing from January 1999 until his elevation to command of the 458th Operations Group. Prior to his current assignment, he served nearly three years as vice commander of U.S. Air Forces in Europe, at Ramstein Air Base, Germany. He entered the Air Force in 1971 as a distinguished graduate of the ROTC program at Manhattan College, New York.

Hawkins, a 1973 graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, has held a number of plum assignments since his first major command at higher than squadron level, as deputy commander and later commander of the 2nd Operations group here from July 1992 to February 1995. He left Barksdale to become chief of staff at the White House military office, where he hung his hat for just more than two years. He was later commander of the 89th Airlift Wing at Andrews Air Force Base, Md., vice director for the Joint Staff in Washington, D.C., and then vice commander for the 18th Air Force, the unit he has now been chosen to lead.

Between that last 18th Air Force job and his pending one, he shoehorned in two important commands. From August through December 2004 he was director of the U.S. Central Command's Deployment and Distribution Operations Center in Southwest Asia, and then he was commander of the Tanker Airlift Control Center at Scott Air Force Base.

College hosts Holocaust Remembrance

MORRIS TWP. -- The College of St. Elizabeth (CSE) will host its annual week of Holocaust Remembrance Monday through Nov. 11 on the campus in Convent Station.

A special week-long prelude, concluding Saturday, also was held.

The two-week commemoration is sponsored by the CSE Holocaust Education Resource Center and the Holocaust Council of MetroWest.

Prayer service

On Monday, the college invites the public to join the campus community in commemorating the massive coordinated attack on Jews throughout the German Reich called Kristallnacht, otherwise known as "The Night of Broken Glass," with a candlelight prayer service from 7:30 to 9 p.m.

The service will be held in the gymnasium at St. Joseph Hall. The college's Elizabeth Singers will perform during the evening, under the direction of Roger Pisani.

In addition to the prayer service on Monday, Holocaust survivor and author of "Love in a World of Sorrow," Fanya Gottesfeld Heller, will share with audience members the tale of her family's struggle for survival and her relationship with her Christian rescuers as they hid from the Nazi death squads.

Born into a traditional Jewish family in a small Ukrainian village in 1924, Heller and her family hid from the Nazis with the help of two Christian rescuers.

Beset by hunger, marked for death by her neighbors and faced with the constant threat of discovery and execution, she miraculously survived.

Since then, Heller has dedicated her life to sharing her message of tolerance and hope with audiences young and old.

In 1998, she established The Fanya Gottesfeld Heller Center for the Study of Women in Judaism at Bar-Ilan University, an academic initiative that employs an interdisciplinary approach to an examination of the female Jewish identity within the context of the social, cultural and religious history of the Jewish people.

On Wednesday from 7:30 to 9 p.m. in Mahoney Library, Octagon, Claudia Setzer, author and associate professor of religious studies at Manhattan College, will examine with audience members some of the factors in the early separation of Christianity from Judaism, some shared theological concepts, as well as a consideration of models for contemporary relationships.

Her presentation is titled "Grown-Up Siblings: A Contribution to Jewish-Catholic Dialogue."

A graduate of Columbia University, Setzer has written books and articles focusing on social relations between Jews and early Christians, and she has a special interest in North African Christianity.

She has served for several years as chair of the Early/Jewish Christian Relations group at the Society of Biblical Literature, and has been an associate editor of the Journal of Biblical Literature.

All programs are free and open to the public.

For more information, call (973) 290-4161.

[JR:  MC has Peace Studies? Why wasn’t Kristallnacht on their radar? Do they think that man’s inhumanity to man is no longer a problem. I think it was a watershed event. I know at least one Jewish family who took that as the signal to emigrate. They came to the US, stopped speaking German, and threw themselves into the American dream. Those that don’t remember history are doomed to repeat it.]

If you do go support "our" teams, I'd appreciate any reports or photos. What else do us old alums have to do? Right, encourage the young ones to max their achievement to 100% potential. I don’t think you have to win or die. Just give us it all and we should applaud. What better things do you have to do today, but to go to some strange support, dress up “funny”, and cheer for “our” athletes. So what if they think you’re a loon. You’re their loon. You never know what kind of difference you’ll make!

Ladies and Gentlemen: This one broke me up.   FNS sends

-----Included Message-----

The elderly parking lot attendant wasn't in a good mood.

Neither was Sam Bierstock. It was around 1 a.m., and Bierstock, a Delray Beach, Fla., eye doctor, business consultant, corporate speaker and musician, was bone tired after appearing at an event.

He pulled up in his car, and the parking attendant began to speak. "I took two bullets for this country and look what I'm doing," he said bitterly.

At first, Bierstock didn't know what to say to the World War II veteran. But he rolled down his window and told the man, "Really, from the bottom of my heart, I want to thank you."

Then the old soldier began to cry.

"That really got to me," Bierstock says.

Cut to today.

Bierstock, 58, and John Melnick, 54, of Pompano Beach, a member of Bierstock's band, Dr. Sam and the Managed Care Band, have written a song inspired by that old soldier in the airport parking lot. The mournful "Before You Go" does more than salute those who fought in WWII. It encourages people to go out of their way to thank the aging warriors before they die.

"If we had lost that particular war, our whole way of life would have been shot," says Bierstock, who plays harmonica. "Every ethnic minority would be dead. And the soldiers are now dying at the rate of about 2,000 every day. I thought we needed to thank them."

The song is striking a chord. Within four days of Bierstock placing it on the Web (www.beforeyougo.us), the song and accompanying photo essay have bounced around nine countries, producing tears and heartfelt thanks from veterans, their sons and daughters and grandchildren.

"It made me cry," wrote one veteran's son. Another sent an e-mail saying that only after his father consumed several glasses of wine would he discuss "the unspeakable horrors" he and other soldiers had witnessed in places such as Anzio, Iwo Jima, Bataan and Omaha Beach. "I can never thank them enough," the son wrote. "Thank you for thinking about them."

Bierstock and Melnick thought about shipping it off to a professional singer, maybe a Lee Greenwood type, but because time was running out for so many veterans, they decided it was best to release it quickly, for free, on the Web. They've sent the song to Sen. John McCain and others in Washington.

Already they have been invited to perform it in Houston for a Veterans Day tribute. This after just a few days on the Web. They hope every veteran in America gets a chance to hear it.

"I think it's funny that the music-buying population is 13-and 14-year-old girls, but we're shooting for 80-year-old guys," Melnick says.

[JR:  Here’s my reaction. ]

I personally advocate the non-aggression principle.

And I think that the politicians -- I would NOT call them Leaders, Statesmen, or even Honest! Or give those people any deference or honor. -- have done us a disservice by steering us into war either deliberately, stupidly, or by putting us in circumstances where was happened.

Maybe things needed to be done? The Holocaust is a powerful after-the-fact argument for intervention! I can't know who did what to whom when. There may be similar or good arguments for our other interventions, mis-steps, and fights.

But, what I do know that a lot of good men went and did what they perceived as their duty. Some of them never came home. Some came home broken physically, mentally, or both. I support the men and women who do and did the dirty work that "we" directed.

On more than one occasion, I have argues that buildings and streets should be named for the KIAs and MIAs. Certainly NOT for living politicians, like the Lautenburg Post Office, nor dead ones, like the Lincoln Tunnel. I'll make an exception for George Washington.

As such, I think, those vets deserve our respect. I am a vet, but never left Maryland. SO I don’t include myself in that group.

We can argue about the details, but they did the "heavy lifting" that no one should have to do. If we had good leaders, they or we wouldn't have had to.

With that explanation, I recommend you visit this site.

Dear Jasper Matt’64,

I checked the data in the “Distribute” Yahoo group and it looks fine. From Yahoo’s point of view, it appears that you’ve been receiving Jottings uninterrupted from June 1, 2004. If you haven’t, you might want to check how hotmail does spam. I know that every email originates from Distribute_Jasper_Jottings@yahoogroups.com, so you may have to specifically put that in a safe senders list or in you personal address book. Not being a hotmail user, I am not that familiar with their offerings. Can you confirm that there is a problem? From your question, I assume there is. I know from my work and reports on the Broadband ezine, that hotmail has had some problems in the past. But, I had NOT heard of anything recently. I’ll try to send you a test message from the Distribute group now, if you see it, please let me know.

Dear John,

I assume that you the obituary in the NY Times today (11/04/05) at page C14 for Maurice D. Stack,'39. If not I have a copy.

On page C2 there is a large paid add by NABORS INDUSTRIES LTD that is a tribute to Richard A. Stratton '68 , retired vice chairman of the board which reads:

Dear John,

Just a note to tell you that you were missed at the NYC Club gathering on Wednesday at Mutual of America (at least two people asked if you were there!), The new President of the Alumni Society, Jim Smith '60, welcomed the over 100 Alums and their guests that were present. Jim outlined some of his goals for the Society for the coming year and then introduced the guest speaker, Russ Schriefer '80, a founding partner of The Stevens and Schriefer Group a political advertising consulting firm. His topic was "A History of Political Advertising".

Russ was one of the best presenters that we have had at these events. He was very proud of his Manhattan Education and attributed his interest and success in the political arena to his Professors in Government. He singled out Professor Eleanor Ostrau as one who really inspired him. He said that even though they were at the opposite ends of the political spectrum, they engaged in spirited discussions but always remained civil to each other and became great friends. He started in the field by working on the Molinari campaign for Congress and latter his campaign for Boro President of Staten Island and from there went on to work for the campaigns of both Bush the father and Bush the son

His explanation of negative ads was very enlightening. He pointed out that focus groups, when shown positive ads and negative ads, said that they did not like the negative ads at all. However an hour latter when asked which ads they remembered it was usually only the negative ones! He also pointed out that the purpose of negative ads was not to draw in the undecided voter as much as it was to encourage your core voter to turn out on election day. He showed some early TV ads of the Eisenhower and Kennedy campaigns as well as some of the more famous (or infamous) negative ads. We have come a long way.

Again it was a very interesting evening, and you were missed,
                                      Best,
                                          Mike McEneney, Esq.'53

[JR:  Thanks for the great report. And thanks for fibbing about how much I was missed. I had other commitments. Believe it or not there are some things that take precedent over Manhattan College events. We all make our contributions as best we can. Besides I’m not much to look at, and everyone has pretty much unlimited access to me via the net. Going to stuff isn’t my forte nor “fun” for me. I’m basically an introvert and shun the stage light. Give me my computers, lots of electricity and I’m as happy as the proverbial pig. When I get my honorary PhD in electronic letters, then we can get together. But I am failing in “advanced clerical work” and behind in my “Identifying Jaspers by their email address” project, so that advanced degree is far away. ;-) Seriously, I have to work on Jottings and don’t have time for  personal appearances. At least the ones that don’t pay! Or can’t satisfy many needs at the same time.  ]

Good Morning, Ladies and Gentlemen:

    1. We - Riderwood Village - had an Arts and Crafts show and sale to which I was invited because of my interest in making and painting models. Many of you have seen, heard of or lugged those white cartons about which Helen complains. Five of those white cartons contain what I call the "Modern Square". It is comprised of the lovely material made by the modern manufacturers of toy soldiers, both here and abroad.

    2. I really was not planning to sell but when one of my new neighbors took one look and said that her son would be thrilled, I got worried. Right after lunch, she appeared with said son and daughter in law and while his Lady and his Mother wandered around the rest of the show, he studied the entire square, commenting upon the tartans and the colors and the entire display. He purchased Bill Hocker's Camerons - produced in 1988 - and wrote a check signed Stewart Cameron MacCloud. (His late father was the President of one of the Clan Societies)

    3. As it turned out, I had the largest gross of any of the participants - due to plain old stupidity on the part of middle management, who foiled proper advertising by saying that such was not included in the budget. Since part of the proceeds was to be donated to the Benevolent Care Fund, those G-21/2 half unter menchen cost the care fund quite a bit of money. Apparently, lat year, the staff and some of the local sewing circles and artists were invited. Last year's "take" for the Care Fund will be much higher than this year's pittance. (I digress)

    4. When they have a stamp show around here, I can provide several frames for that.

My respects to you all. FNS sends

Dear  John,

John Genn attended the NYC Club networking meeting on Wednesday, November 2 and expressed an interest to join JJ.  Please sign him up.  His e-mail is <privacy invoked>.

I enjoy reading JJ each week and I want to thank you for making it happen.

My brother Mike '53B is also a big fan of yours.

Best regards,
Ed McEneney '59B

[JR:  (1) Invitation sent. Thanks for recruiting. I estimate that we have about 7k living alumni. My job a Jottings will be complete when we have everyone of them reading it. ;-) No sense having goals if they aren’t big. (2) I’m glad you enjoy it. I hope that everyone does. I don’t get a lot of feedback – good or bad. But I know everyone’s busy. (3) Ahh you know how easy it is to fool the old folk. Seriously, Mike has been a joy. If all the Jaspers were as energized as he is, then Jottings would publish itself. Thanks, John’68]

[JR:  It’s not a email to us. But it is public. So maybe, I have hit upon another niche for JJs. Rather than everyone having to check, here it is. Unless something shows there, that she might not want Mike to know about, I figure this will add a little life to the old Jottings. I wish I could have done something like this when I was her age. ;-) Heck I wish I could do it at any age. ]

Well boys and girls, it’s time for another Good Idea, Bad Idea. Good Idea: booking several nights in a quiet little town like Granada to overcome an illness. Bad Idea: Deciding on the third day that three bedridden days is inexcusable, no matter how little you’ve eaten, and venturing out for a “little” tourist activity which, in Granada, leaves only a trip to Alhambra, castle on a hill. Since we last spoke, I am pleased to say I completely recovered myself from my bout of nasty-feeling in Italy…for a good 48 hours. Then, suddenly in Valencia, the gods of swollen lymph nodes did smite me like a linebacker at a Friday night hs football game. Now, my neck even looks like a linebacker’s. Anyway, I don’t mean to complain too much, today was better than yesterday, I’m trying for solid foods at dinner…big step. I wish I had a bit more to tell you, but I’ve sort of been in this state for a few days now, so not much has really happened aside from sleep and, yes mom, I drinking plenty of fluids. The good side is, the internet at this hostel is freeee, so I’ve spent countless hours here, writing under the influence of anti-histamines. Here’s a fun story, though: Today I had my first chance encounter with someone I’ve met before. I went down to the kitchen for a bit of orange juice this morning, and when I sit down, I hear some one go, “Hey….New York”, and low and behold, it’s a guy I met like a month ago in Florence. Small world, isn’t it? He and his friend are staying here and favored me with a rendition of “New York, New York” to make me feel better. Also, there’s a couple of girls in my room who’ve been really friendly and good to talk to. So no worries, I’ll be better in no time. I’m contemplating trying for Seville tomorrow because it isn’t far, but I may end up with another night here depending how I feel. Mind over matter, yes? Yes. Not a bad place to be laid up, though, as you can see from the pictures. I’m also in this awesome neighborhood of little arab teashops, and at night, the small winding streets housing them fill with people and music and scents of incense and food. Quite a place. Also, this hostel offers free spanish lessons, which I have taken advantage of to pass the time. I apologize that I really don’t have more to say, or that I can’t be more positive. I did try though, can you tell? How about a cliche to make you feel better. Every cloud has a silver lining. How did that feel? Hope it helped.

[JR:  Well I don’t know about you but I’ve been entertained? ]

Curmudgeon's Final Words This Week

http://www.townhall.com/opinion/columns/walterwilliams/2005/10/19/171797.html

A nation of sheeple
By Walter E. Williams
Oct 19, 2005

=== <begin quote> ===

President Bush informed the nation, during a press conference, that he might seek to use the U.S. military to quarantine parts of the nation should there be a serious outbreak of the deadly avian flu that has killed millions of chickens and 60-some people in Southeast Asia. That's the second time Bush has expressed a desire to use the military for local policing. The first was in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. The Posse Comitatus Act (18 U.S.C. 1385) generally prohibits federal military personnel and units of the U.S. National Guard under federal authority from acting in a law enforcement capacity within the United States, except where expressly authorized by the U.S. Constitution or Congress.

Enacted during Reconstruction, the purpose of the Posse Comitatus Act was to severely limit the powers of the federal government to use the military for local law enforcement. Would Americans tolerate such a gigantic leap in the federalization of law enforcement? I'm guessing the answer is yes. In the name of safety, we've undergone decades of softening up to accept just about any government edict that our predecessors would have found offensive.

<extraneous deleted>

You say, "Hey, Williams, but it's the law!" In the late-1700s, the British Parliament enacted the Sugar Act, the Stamp Act and the Townshend Acts, and imposed other grievances that are enumerated in our Declaration of Independence. I'm happy that we didn't have today's Americans around at the time to bow before King George III and say, "It's the law." Respectful of the Posse Comitatus Act, President Bush has suggested that he'll ask Congress to amend the law to allow for the use of the U.S. military to enforce regional quarantines. Whether Congress amends the law or not, Bush has no constitutional authority to deploy military troops across the land. Why?

The U.S. Constitution's Article IV, Section 4 reads, "The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened), against domestic Violence." Coupled with the Tenth Amendment, "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people," this means short of an insurrection, the U.S. military must be invited by a state legislature or executive. Any federal law that violates these constitutional provisions is null and void and can only be enforced through fear, intimidation and brute military force.

=== <end quote> ===

You all know I love Walter. He even answers email when I copy him on my rants that springboard off his material. He’s very encouraging. So I’ll try and shake you awake again.

Did’ya hear about what happened in NOLA?

Maybe you didn’t grasp the significance of it.

They storm troopers collected some guns and left the people defenseless. They dragged people from their homes or fooled them into leaving by intimidation. They were careful not to try to disarm the people who were willing to fight back. As well, they didn’t disarm all the private security forces operating openly in the city.

No it was your usual gummamint response. Half hearted, lacadasical, inept, and ineffective.

If you want to know how it’s going to end, I recommend a read of “unintended consequences” by Ross.

At some point in time, you will recognize that “big government” has stolen:

·         YOUR PAST — Printing press money has eroded your savings 95% since 1975!

·         YOUR PRESENT — Taxes steal an incalculable unconscionable amount of what you earn (I’d guess 80%. You buy gas after paying income tax and pay another 50% in tax. It’s all hidden so you can’t see how bad you are taking it.  We pay taxes on taxes. We’re slaves!

·         YOUR FUTURE   Our posterity is: indebted to foreigners with the National Debt that can’t be repaid; guarantors of savings accounts and pensions that can’t be met; AND will have to either make or abrogate the unfunded promises like social security and the medicare drug benefit.

Now what are YOU going to do about it?

Yup, you’re “sheeple”. Sheep-like people! Only good for being shorn and then killed for dinner when you’ve outlived your usefulness. Our country has become the proverbial “two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for dinner”. And the workers are dinner for the politicians and the taking class.

And that’s the last word.

Curmudgeon
